Andrea from Milan on his Forgione road bike in Columbus Spirit

Andrea, from Milan, reviews his road bike with a Columbus Spirit steel frame, designed and built by hand by Vincenzo Forgione.
A few days after starting to ride his new Forgione, Andrea left a review on Google. Here it is in full, translated from Italian.

“Simply an extraordinary bicycle, one that exceeded every expectation. Forgione managed to turn my idea into a unique project, cared for down to the smallest detail, where craftsmanship, elegance and performance blend perfectly.
The Columbus Spirit steel frame is a masterpiece, but what really makes the difference is the passion you can feel in every choice and every finish.
Not just a bicycle, but the bike I had imagined and longed for. Congratulations to Forgione for the expertise, the care and the ability to create something truly special. I would choose it a thousand times over!”
— Andrea, Milan
From an idea to a project
Andrea came with a clear idea of the bike he wanted. Vincenzo's job was to turn it into a real project: measurements, geometry, choice of tubes and finishes, decided together step by step. The result is a white road bike with a copper-coloured fork and a name of its own, Pathostera, written on the top tube.

The Columbus Spirit frame
For the frame Andrea chose Columbus Spirit tubes, a steel tubeset designed for light and responsive frames. Like every Forgione frame, it is built by hand in Gesualdo with Silver Fillet Brazed joints, a technique that gives smooth lines and lasting strength.

A hundred kilometres in the mountains
Together with the photos, Andrea sent Vincenzo a message after one of his first rides: “Today a 100 km ride. Nice and cool up in the mountains!” The photo in the pink jersey at the top of this article was taken that very day.

For Vincenzo, a review like this makes every hour at the workbench worthwhile. Thank you Andrea, and happy riding!

I build custom frames designed specifically for each athlete, using the Silver Fillet Brazed technique, which ensures both aesthetic beauty and functional performance.
Tests have shown that my frames withstand all types of stress. The spirit of steel frames embodies my construction philosophy: crafting unique pieces built to last over time.

If you have your own bike in mind, here is how a custom frame is made.
