Anthony wrote to me from Australia: he has ridden more than 5,000 km on the Campania frame I built for him, and he sent me a few photos from the roads of the Tour Down Under.

Anthony, from Australia.

Here is his message:

"Ciao from Australia, Vincenzo!
I wanted to tell you I have done 5000km on the bike you built me and it's still going great.
I am currently riding around the Tour Down Under in Australia and thought you might like to see your bike in action..."

His photos speak for themselves: the Campania on Willunga Hill, one of the landmark climbs of Australian cycling, and even a shot with a kangaroo warning sign in the background. A bike that is really ridden, far from any catalogue photo.

I designed the Campania for Anthony as a made-to-measure frame for long distances, with a balanced geometry built for stability, comfort and precise handling over time. I built it by hand with Silver Fillet Brazed joints, and it is exactly what I hope for every frame: that it keeps riding the same after thousands of kilometres.

For me, this is what a handmade frame is for: not just to be beautiful to look at, but to stay with you over the years, wherever the road takes you. Even on the other side of the world.

Thank you, Anthony, and happy riding!
