But what truly makes this story unique is that Erik and his partner Christin decided to come in person—from Sweden all the way to Gesualdo—to collect their bicycle. It wasn’t just a pick-up, but a complete experience: filled with encounters, rides, great food, and unforgettable landscapes.

We enjoyed a scenic bike ride along the panoramic roads surrounding the village, accompanied by a dear cycling friend from Gesualdo. The Irpinian hills gifted us with breathtaking views, and the group’s rhythm and shared love for cycling made every kilometer a joy.

After the ride, we stopped to enjoy the authentic flavors of Irpinian cuisine at some of the local trattorias. Good wine, genuine dishes, and many stories shared at the table—a perfect way to celebrate the beginning of a new cycling adventure.
And even during the ride, we had our breakfast—as shown in the photos.

Erik and Christin stayed at the Zembalo bed and breakfast, close to the heart of Gesualdo’s historic center. The time spent wandering the village’s alleys, visiting the castle, and soaking in the peaceful landscape completed the experience—turning a simple bike collection into a true holiday to remember.

Once back in Sweden, Erik wanted to share his excitement with me:
“I reassembled the bike and rode it today on my usual routes. The difference from the Cannondale is immediately noticeable: a more relaxed position, a greater feeling of efficiency. I did my familiar 55 km loop... and it was my best time ever—the previous second-best time was fifteen years ago!
We had so many beautiful experiences in just a few days that it felt like we had been away much longer. I truly thank you for this exceptional experience: a weekend of bikes, food, views, coffee, desserts, and a fantastic bicycle.”

Thank you, Erik, for your trust, your energy, and for choosing not just a custom bicycle—but an experience. This is the vision behind every Forgione frame: to build something that lasts over time, that brings real emotion, and tells an authentic story.
