A tandem is more than a bike: it is an experience two people share, pedalling in sync on the same road. At Forgione Telai I hand-build every steel frame to measure, and a tandem is no exception: it is designed around the two riders who will use it.
Why a custom steel tandem
Steel is the material I trust most for a bike that has to carry two people: it is durable, comfortable over long distances and, if something ever happens, it can be repaired. A custom tandem lets us decide together the geometry, the colours and the details that suit the two of you, instead of adapting yourselves to a standard frame.

How we build it
Every tandem starts from a conversation: how and where you ride, how tall each of you is, how much luggage you carry. From there I design the frame, choose the tubing and join it by hand in my workshop in Gesualdo, in the hills of southern Italy. Our tandem is called Forgione DUET: two bodies pedalling, one heart guiding the journey.
